Description

From left to right, First Nations, Métis, Inuit. This are the first designs for IAM, XD because I'm feeling like we are not representing the aboriginals enough. I mean, they are really, really important to Canada's history. Plus I really respect them!

A lot of people are telling I shouldn't stuff the first nations all into one category. Trust me, I know this. But I didn't want it to be too complecated. Besides if I'm mashing the Métis together and the Inuits together, I should mash the first nations together for unity's sake. They are representatives of the categories of aboriginals in Canada. They don't represent a particular culture, tribe or area. A lot of people don't get that. :< But maybe in the future, there will be a picture of the seperate well known tribes. TEEHEE

I need help coming up with names for First Nations and Métis. Inuit is called Ashoona, I don't care if its a female name. XD

Anyways, I'm not sure if the clothing details are right. I did learn about Métis clothing in school recently, but I have no idea what the first nations or Ashoona was supposed to wear so I googled it and mashed everything on the first three pages together.

Métis' hair is the same colour as Manitobas. :D

If you guys have anything to suggest about their designs, just leave it in the comments. :D

Oh also, I'm going to have to trouble you guys into naming your favourite one. And free chibis to people who can help me name First nations and Métis! (But she's probably going to have to be something Riel XD)

I don't know for the first name for métis, but I believe that the last name should be garneau

Because that is a family that was big in the history of métis, and on Canada in general. Like the first Canadian man in outer space was a garneau, more specifically his name was Marc garneau.

Laurent garneau was a man that fpught along side Louis riel during the rebellion in 1874, he was also the one who planted the "garneau tree" which is a tree that is in Edmonton and is believed to be the oldest tree in Edmonton.

I'm sorry if I seem ranty but as a métis myself, I am very passionate about the history and that family is a big part of it...
